Three individuals, together with a Zirakpur eatery proprietor, Sonu Sethi, have been despatched to one-day police remand in a case associated to hurting non secular sentiments of a neighborhood and voluntarily inflicting harm to a Zirakpur resident.
Complainant Sukhwinder Saini, a journalist, in his criticism, acknowledged that the suspect and his accomplices attacked him, tried to grab his cell phone and took off his turban close to Zirakpur on Sunday evening.
A case was registered towards six suspects on Sunday.
Zirakpur SHO Onkar Singh Brar mentioned two suspects, Deepak Ahuja and Joginder Dhiman, have been held on Sunday evening whereas one suspect was arrested on Monday night. They have been immediately produced in a court docket, which despatched them to police remand.
Sethi, on Monday, mentioned the journalist was defaming him by publishing false information up to now. “When he got here out of his dhaba, Saini threatened him and now he’s intentionally giving a non secular tone to the matter,” he mentioned. — TNS
