Zirakpur: The enforcement wing of the Zirakpur Municipal Council on Wednesday confronted stiff resistance from shopkeepers in Baltana when the officers started an anti-encroachment drive close to the Kalgidhar Enclave space. The protesting shopkeepers within the furnishings market gheraoed the MC automobile and stopped the visitors for a while. Police power needed to be referred to as in to bail out MC officers.
