Zirakpur: 6 held for betting throughout T20 World Cup last : The Tribune India

The police have arrested six individuals concerned in betting through the lately concluded T20 World Cup from a flat in a housing society of Zirakpur and recovered one laptop computer, 22 cell phones from them.

The suspects have been recognized as Dharamvir (40), Manoj Kumar (33), Raj Kumar (46), Rajiv (25), Vishal Kumar (38), all residents of Sirsa, and Sunil Kumar (38) of Mansa. They had been been booked beneath sections 420 of the IPC and the Playing Act on the Zirakpur police station on November 14.

The police received data that the suspects had been “dishonest gullible folks and incomes an enormous amount of cash by betting through the T20 World Cup last between Australia and New Zealand on Sunday”.
