Seaside cleansing initiative launched in Chennai South

The south area of the Better Chennai Company (GCC) on Saturday launched a seashore cleansing initiative with help from the Environmentalist Basis of India (EFI). The launch coincided with World Atmosphere Day, noticed on June 5 yearly.

Commenting on the initiative, Raja Gopal Sunkara, Regional Deputy Commissioner (South), GCC, stated with the seashores closed to the general public as a result of COVID-19 lockdown, the intention was to utilize this era to totally clear all seashores within the area.

Declaring that the area already had two seashore cleansing machines that have been being deployed usually, he stated yet one more machine was being borrowed from the central area for the initiative.
