MOHALI: The Punjab farmers beneath Sanyukt Kisan Morcha started a Delhi-like ‘pucca mocha’ on the Mohali-Chandigarh borders on Tuesday. Led by Bharti Kisan Union (Lakhowal) common secretary Harinder Singh Lakhowal and Bharti Kisan Union (Sidhupur) state chief Jagjit Singh Dallewal, they blocked roads close to YPS crossing at Dolphin Chowk in Mohali within the afternoon whilst two leaders urged them to stay peaceable and never break the second line of barricades.
In a coordinated effort, a three-tier barricading was laid by Punjab and Chandigarh police to cease farmers from marching to the state capital.
