Pretend cops rob Iraqi man of money, gold in Gurugram


Two folks posing as policemen robbed an Iraqi nationwide of over Rs 18 lakh money and gold jewelry right here on Thursday, officers stated.

Ahmed Abdulateef Mohammed was coming back from a mall to his visitor home when the incident befell close to Artemis Hospital, they stated.

Two folks in police uniforms approached me and requested me for my passport and stated that they wished to go looking my baggage, Mohammed stated in his criticism.

”I gave them my bag which they searched and returned. After a while, I realised that USD 23,000 money (Rs 18.16 lakh) and a gold ring have been lacking from the bag,” the complainant stated.

An FIR was registered in opposition to two unknown folks underneath sections 379 (theft), 419 (dishonest by impersonation), 420 (dishonest) of IPC on the Sector 53 police station, officers stated.

“We’re analysing the CCTV footage of the realm and making an attempt to nab the accused,” stated Devender Maan, SHO of Sector 53 police station.
