Multi-storied constructions in Hyderabad weak | Hyderabad Information

HYDERABAD: Individuals residing in multi-storied constructions are notably weak to fire-related incidents, say consultants, including that many such buildings don’t meet norms below the Nationwide Constructing Code (NBC). Most poor in fireplace security are buildings over 30 years outdated, they are saying.
Talking to TOI, president of Hearth and Safety Affiliation of India (FSAI), Hyderabad chapter, S Prasad Raju, stated, “Over 90% of condo complexes constructed 30 years in the past don’t have fundamental security measures.”
To bridge this hole, the United Federation of Residential Welfare Associations (UFERWAS) has now taken an initiative to coach safety guards and different ‘first respondents’ to deal with a fireplace. For this, it has tied up with FSAI, Hyderabad.
FSAI’s Raju suggested RWAs that each high-rise condo has to put a separate devoted water line connecting to the overhead tank.
Raju clarifi ed that new highrise residences are following NBC norms. Builders who fail to abide by the requirements could face penalties.
UFERWAS president, Rao VBJ Chelikani stated, “The attention programme will proceed by way of the 12 months.”
