Mohali markets to shut at 8 pm : The Tribune India

In view of a spurt in Covid circumstances, the district administration has ordered that non-essential retailers shall stay open until 8 pm solely.

District Justice of the Peace Isha Kalia issued these orders in train of powers conferred on her beneath Part 144 of the CrPC, 1973, and the Nationwide Catastrophe Administration Act, 2005, in continuation of her earlier orders dated January 4 and eight, 2022.

All retailers and car/individuals dealing in important commodities corresponding to meals, medicines, milk and milk merchandise, poultry, and so forth, shall be exempted. There shall be no restriction on the motion of uncooked supplies completed items, personnel, and so forth, associated to the manufacturing of pharmaceutical medicine, together with vaccines and medical gadgets, diagnostic testing kits, and so forth.

Any violation shall invite felony proceedings beneath the related provisions of the Catastrophe Administration Act, 2005, and the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
