Following the derogatory remarks of expelled BJP chief Nupur Sharma, Karnataka CM on Saturday stated he had issued instructions to take precautionary measures.
Talking at Hubballi, he stated: “A high-level assembly has been held with police prime brass to take precautionary measures within the backdrop of violence in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. At the moment the scenario is peaceable within the state. The police have been instructed to deploy forces in delicate areas.
“I’ve spoken to the Police Commissioner of Hubballi-Dharwad and the SP of Dharwad to take applicable measures.”
In Bengaluru on Saturday, metropolis police commissioner Pratap Reddy met a number of Muslim leaders.
Moulana Maqsood Imran, who was a part of the delegation, stated: “We’ve got instructed the commissioner that we’re harm by Nupur Sharma’s statements. We’re going to mark our protests however aren’t going to hit roads or maintain rallies.”
