Interstate Drug Racket Busted, Bizman Held | Hyderabad Information


HYDERABAD: Particular Operations Workforce (SOT) sleuths of LB Nagar together with Meerpet police busted an interstate drug syndicate and seized 1kg opium in addition to different incriminating stuff price Rs 30 lakh from a businessman in Meerpet on Friday.
Parasmal alias Paras Seervi (30), who runs Seervi Travels from LB Nagar and Kacheguda, was arrested from his home in Adithya Nagar in Meerpet. Other than the 1kg opium, cops seized 5.2 kg poppy straw, 2 kg poppy straw powder, a cell, Rs 19,000, a weighing balance, a motorcycle and 50 packing covers from his possession.
Throughout interrogation, Parasmal mentioned that he ventured into opium smuggling after assembly Deepak who owns Shourya Pandit Deva Resort in Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh. Deepak promised to provide the contraband and 5 days in the past Parasmal introduced it in a Seervi Travels bus from Neemuch after paying Rs 1.8 lakh, police mentioned.
Whereas Parasmal was on the look-out for purchasers, SOT sleuths obtained a tip off and arrested him from his home. “We try to arrest provider Deepak too,” Rachakonda commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat mentioned.
