CHANDIGARH: Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught an exemptee sub inspector and a non-public particular person on the fees of demanding Rs 10,000 and accepting Rs 7,000 bribe.
Bureau spokesperson stated on Sunday that the arrested accused have been recognized as ESI Satpal posted in Police Station Metropolis Mahendergarh and Santu, a non-public particular person.
ESI Satpal demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from complainant in lieu of becoming a member of the complainant in investigation after anticipatory bail earlier than due date in a case which was permitted by the excessive courtroom. He threatened to get the bail rejected if the complainant doesn’t give a bribe.
The complainant lodged a criticism with the State Vigilance Bureau. After the verification, a lure was laid and Santu was caught crimson handed taking a bribe of Rs.7000 on behalf of accused ESI within the presence of Obligation Justice of the Peace, appointed by the Deputy Commissioner, Narnaul.
