CHENNAI: The Mangadu police rescued an actual property dealer from a home in Attur close to Salem within the wee hours of Tuesday, and arrested 10 individuals who kidnapped him for a ransom of 1 crore.
In response to police, a bunch of 10 individuals visited Suresh Kumar, 48, the actual property dealer, at his home in Mangadu on Monday night. They started conversations with him underneath the pretext of a enterprise deal. At one level, they immediately tied his palms with a rope at knife level and bundled him into their automotive. Earlier than fleeing with him, the gang instructed Suresh’s members of the family to pay 1 crore for his launch.
The household lodged a criticism with police who shaped 4 particular groups to nab the culprits. Suresh’s cell phone remained switched off. At evening, his cellphone was traced to Attur close to Salem. A particular group rushed to Attur and rescued the person. They arrested 10 individuals and introduced them to Chennai.
Investigation revealed that the gang kidnapped Suresh for ransom as his cousin had borrowed 1 crore from them. They plotted his abduction after noticing his commercial in a newspaper that he was able to promote his home for two crore.
The arrested have been recognized as H Rajasekar, 35, of Keerapalayam in Chidambaram, V Arvind Raj, 34, S Ravirajan, 31, S Muthusamy, 39, from Chidambaram, S Babu, 40, R Manikandan, 25, from Keezha Bhuvanagiri in Cuddalore, C Arvind, 27, from Konda Samudram in Thanjavur, and R Rajarajan, 52, from Abdul Kalam Nagar in Seneer Kuppam. The opposite two arrested names have been but to be disclosed.
Assistant commissioner of police Rajeev Prince of SRMC-Porur police station stated, “The particular group led by inspector Raj nabbed the suspects and rescued the sufferer from a home in Attur close to Salem.”
The four-wheeler used for the kidnapping was seized. The arrested have been remanded.
