Centre has notified two services in Pune and Hyderabad for Covid vaccine testing

To ramp up testing and high quality management of Coronavirus vaccines within the nation, the Centre has notified two testing services in Pune and Hyderabad for the aim.

Division of Biotechnology, beneath the aegis of Ministry of Science & Expertise has arrange two vaccine testing services in its autonomous analysis institutes particularly Nationwide Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) in Pune and Nationwide Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) at Hyderabad designated them as Central Drug Laboratories (CDL), for batch testing and high quality management of vaccines.

The ability at NCCS, Pune, has now been notified as a Central Medication Laboratory for testing and lot launch of COVID-19 vaccines by a gazette notification .The ability at NIAB ,Hyderabad is more likely to obtain it notification shortly.

At the moment, the nation has a Central Medication Laboratory (CDL) at Kasauli, which is the nationwide management laboratory for testing and pre-release certification of Immunobiologicals (vaccines and antisera) meant for human use in India.
