NOIDA: The police in Uttar Pradesh’s Better Noida on Thursday seized round 60,000 kilograms of spurious salt and over 20,000 wrappers labelled ‘Tata Salt’ from a manufacturing facility and arrested two folks in reference to the case, officers stated.
The gang had been engaged in packing native salt in packets bearing the label of the Tata firm on the manufacturing facility positioned within the Dadri space and additional bought them in markets, they stated.
“The manufacturing facility manufacturing spurious salt within the title of Tata Salt was busted by officers of the Dadri police station on Thursday. Two folks had been arrested from the spot whereas a 3rd particular person managed to flee from the spot,” a police spokesperson stated.
“Over 20,000 wrappers of Tata Salt had been seized from the spot. Round 60,000 kilograms of native salt estimated to be value Rs 10 lakh and tools to seal plastic packets had been recovered from the manufacturing facility,” the official stated.
The accused had been dishonest the corporate by filling labeled packets of a model with plain salt and promoting it out there, the police stated, including that an FIR has been lodged underneath Indian Penal Code part 420 (dishonest) and underneath provisions of the Copyright Act.
These arrested have been recognized as Mukesh Kansal and Shakir Hussain, the police stated.
